2012 HEROLD BROWN LABEL CABERNET

Dramatic, dark and penetrating immediately describe this wine. The color is a deeply saturated blue/black hue. Brooding from the glass is a landscape of layered scents: huge aromas of blackberries, black cherries, currants intermixed with espresso, crème de cassis, wet brick with nuances of dried flowers, black olives, and sage brush. A powerful mouth presence reveals extracted flavors of roasted black fruits showcased within a supple tannin framework is evidence of this wines fine sense of balance. Concentration, resolved fine-toothed tannins, and lingering rich flavors are hallmarks of this wine. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Enjoy the 2012 Herold Cabernet over the next 15 to 20 years.

2015 FLUX RED  

77% Grenache, 13% Mourvèdre, and 10% Syrah 

The 2015 Flux is perhaps the best Flux produced to date.  This is a gorgeous wine that boasts profound aromas ultra ripe strawberries, crème de cassis, ripe blackberries, black cherries and boysenberries.  Hints of graphite, licorice, crushed rocks and almond skins fill out this alluring aromatic landscape.   Juicy textures that are at once plush, unctuous, and weighty lead the way to flavors of blackberry, ripe peaches, brown sugar, and minerals.  Drink this expressively delicious blend now or over the next 5-10 years.

The 2015 Flux, Mark Herold's entry-level red , is bold, juicy and inviting. Super-ripe red cherry, rose petal, mint and spice are all pushed forward in this racy, succulent wine. Dollops of Mourvèdre and Syrah round out the blend. Drink it over the next handful of years.
