Calendar icon
Friday, Mar 30, 6:30pm

About event

"I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order." - John Burroughs

Essential oils are highly concentrated versions of the natural oils found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can have powerful effects on your emotional and physical wellness.

In this workshop we will:

  • Identify and share our most pressing physical or emotional needs
  • Learn how essential oils work and why they affect you the way they do
  • Create your own signature spray whether you're looking for focus, stress relief, mood booster, or want to feel a little sexier
Each participant will take home their spray and description card.

About the Facilitator

After years of working with Detroit small businesses, Jessica Bondalapati (formally Meyer) launched her own company Lady Bondo, a value-driven consultant dedicated to the growth of small business owners, non-profits, community organizations, and individuals with big ideas. As a consultant Lady Bondo provides a unique and customized approach to each client by understanding their individual needs and working on a solution that everyone feels confidant in executing. In 2015, she was named a Next City Network Urban Innovator and an American Express and Ashoka Changemakers Emerging Innovator for her work with Build Institute, an entrepreneurship training and support program.

Outside of consulting, Jessica co-owns a photo booth company with her sister-in-law called Bondo, specializing in engaging and imaginative photo booth experiences. She started Detroit Snake Oil as a way to cultivate meaningful experiences for others, create something with her hands, and share nature's power of healing through essential oils. She lives in University District with her husband and 2 black cats.
