This group meets weekly, on Friday evenings, for eight weeks.

About the Facilitators

Perfectly Imperfect was designed, and will be led by, two professionals who have over ten years of experience working with young women in both a school and clinical setting.

Marci Nowaczok, Licensed Professional Counselor, is a high school counselor who has a passion for working with youth. During her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Marci began working at a residential group home which was her first experience working with young women. After graduation, Marci went on the adventure of a lifetime when she joined the Peace Corps. Teaching English to middle school and high school students in Madagascar for two years impacted the person she is today. After her two years of service, fetching her water, using an outdoor shower, and speaking Malagasy, Marci returned to the United States and began her graduate work in Counseling at Eastern Michigan University. Since 2009, Marci has been a counselor at two different high schools in the Metro Detroit area. She is well-versed in the triumphs, challenges, and pressures that teens experience today and loves being able to support them on their journey through adolescence.

Rachel Hagerty, master level clinician and yoga teacher, believes that with a balance of mind and body care we are able to “show up” as our truest self. With a passion and specialty of working with adolescent and young women, her philosophy is to create a safe space for each individual to discover themselves and transform to the individual they would like to be. Rachel has nearly 10-year clinical experience with a Master’s in Child Clinical Psychology, working in community and private practice settings. She has experience with a variety of adolescent clientele tackling topics ranging from assertiveness, self-esteem, life changes, peer and family relationships, body image, and eating disorders. Rachel is also a RYT-200 trained, certified, and registered Yoga Teacher at a local yoga studio; creating and facilitating Yoga for Emotional Healing and Tween Yoga workshops.
