The annual Dia de los Muertos & Monster Factory continues to grow in monstrous proportions. Now, in its eight year, this event is sure to be something to scream about! The Golden Brick award-winning event was developed to create a unique celebration featuring art themed in Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and Halloween, hence the title, “Monster Factory.” More than 150 artists exhibit pieces for CityArts Factory’s largest submission show of the year.
In addition to the seven exhibit spaces, an outdoor block party takes over Pine Street, from Court Street to Orange Avenue. An estimated 4,000+ guests enjoy an exciting evening of live performances, music, stunning costumes, art vendors, great food, and prizes. This event, inspired by the traditional Mexican holiday, brings together families of all cultures for one artistic evening.
