2017 Chester County Hot Air Balloon Festival

The 2017 11th Annual Chester County Balloon Festival  is a must attend event providing family fun for all ages. Experience Chester County and the unique and historic Del Val Region from the ground up! The Chester County Balloon Festival is a non-profit organization with portions of proceeds going to the Chester County Hero Fund supporting 1st Responders and other local community youth groups.

The popularity of the Chester County Balloon Festival has experienced incredible growth the past few years adding many new forms of entertainment. We will be returning to our new home at New Garden Flying Field in Toughkenamon, PA, minutes from Kennett Square. The airport is located at 1235 Newark Road just off Route 1, allowing visitors from all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and New York convenient access.

Festival Highlights:

- Over 20+ hot air balloons taking flight twice per day, sunrise and two hours before sunset, weather permitting*

- Sunset Balloon Glow featuring Special Shaped Balloon Rodeo Fri. and Sat. nights*

- Fireworks Saturday Night (Raindate Sunday Night)

- Untethered and tethered balloon rides*

- Helicopter rides*

*NOTE: All Balloon activities as all other aircraft are weather permitting and must adhere to the parameters set by the FAA, the manufacturer of the aircraft and the individual pilot inaccordance with Federal Aviation Regulations. In the event of unsafe flight or the possibly of unsafe flight due to unmet parameters, no flights will take place. The Event directors and pilots of the event have the safety of you the passengers and the attendees in mind and ask that all enjoy the other wonderful activities organized for this event.

Advance Online General Admission Ticket Sales will be available until sold out including special events requiring advanced tickets.

General AdmissionTickets can be purchased at the event gate daily. Credit cards will be accepted. ATMs will be onsite. Please be advised some vendors accept cash only.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

All ages welcome and encouraged.There is something for everyone!

IDs are neccessary for ticket purchases and entrance to the Wine and Beer garden.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

No public transportation is available.  Free Shuttle buses and hay wagons provided from parking lots.

Onsite Handicapped Parking and Handicap Shuttles available

What can I bring into the event?

This an airport so limited shade and seating is available.

Your are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, suntan lotion, umbrellas that can be attached to chairs,hats and of course your smiles!

Sorry no pets allowed

For security purposes, Airport rules

No food or drink and

No coolers allowed

Food trucks will have food for all dietary restrictions

What's the refund policy?

All ticket purchases are final. No refunds, No Exceptions*

*In the event that law enforcement authorites are recommending that travelers stay off the roads due to severe weather conditions and the entire 3 day event must be canceled your tickets will be good for the 2018 Chester Counrty Balloon Festival.
