About event

Where does coffee fit into your day? Do you grab yours on the run to work, or grind your own beans before brewing and enjoying a leisurely cup or two? Is drinking coffee a reason to gather with friends and socialize, or spend a quiet moment catching up on some reading? The beverage we love so much is grown in more than fifty countries in Asia, Africa, South and Central America, and the Caribbean, with 67 percent of the world’s coffee coming from the Americas alone (statistics from www.businessinsider.com). However you like your java, Sandy Spring Museum is bringing some of the world’s coffees (and teas) to you in a new series, Coffee Culture Around the World, starting in February 2018. On the first Saturday of each month, we’ll feature a different purveyor who will brew and sell hot beverages and products, and provide brewing tips and background information.

Join us on Saturday, February 3, 2018, 10:00 – Noon when Elizabeth Ryan and Carlos Payes, co-founders of Café Los Sueños will offer freshly brewed coffee from El Salvador, and other products.

Stay to meet our Resident Artists at their Open House, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
