WBL Presents: Alternative Spring Break 2018 (March)
About event
Words Beats & Life’s Alternative Spring Break aims to inspire DC Metro area young creatives (14-23) with a curated tour of five major creative hubs along the East Coast. Participants will have the opportunity to visit colleges/universities, cultural institutions, and other aspects of the creative economies in Arlington, District of Columbia, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York City.
The participation fee ($50) will also covers the cost of travel and admission to paid admission sites on all five days. You are not required to attend all five days, but the fee is the same. Once you have registered, you will be contacted by staff at WBL to determin which days you plan to attend.
There will be opportunities for participants to purchase lunch on their own or bring it themselves. Each day will begin with a workshop focused on preparing participants to participate in the Districts Creative Economy, the second largest employment sector after the federal government in Washington D.C.
